Swords of Blood has launched its Open Beta, introducing a play-to-airdrop event allowing players to earn blockchain-based rewards through gameplay.
Developer Hitbox Games has launched the event for the month of March, during which players can earn $HBOX NFTs by completing in-game objectives. Each NFT contains 2,000 tokens, with a planned TGE in April 2025.
This event does not require any upfront purchase or social media engagement, making it accessible to all players. However, the drop rate for $HBOX NFTs has not been disclosed, and rewards are distributed daily on a limited basis.
Powered by ApeChain and Immutable integration, the game is now available in open beta on Windows PC via HyperPlay.

What is Swords of Blood?
Swords of Blood is a hack-and-slash RPG featuring fast-paced combat in a top-down fantasy setting.
Players engage in various game modes, including campaign battles, dungeon crawling, and co-op boss fights. The game incorporates an upgrade system where players can craft weapons and customize gear to enhance their characters.
Blockchain integration plays a role in Swords of Blood, with NFTs and digital assets available for trade and use within the game. The game operates on ApeChain and supports Immutable integration, allowing NFTs to function across different blockchain networks. Whilst in-game purchases are available, the play-to-airdrop event is designed to be open to all players without additional financial commitment.

How to participate in the play-to-airdrop event?
The play-to-airdrop event runs from March 1 to March 31, 2025. Players can earn $HBOX NFTs by completing campaign stages and daily dungeons. Each day, 166 $HBOX NFTs are distributed, totaling an estimated $1,660 in daily rewards. If all 166 NFTs are claimed on a given day, players must wait until the 00:00 UTC reset to try again.
Rewards are not immediately displayed after completing objectives. Instead, players must return to the main screen and check the GUTS menu to verify if they have received an $HBOX NFT.
Players who obtain an NFT must wait one hour before becoming eligible to earn another. There are no multipliers or increased drop rates for NFT holders, and leaderboard rewards are currently inactive. When activated, leaderboard participation will require players to equip at least three NFTs to qualify for ranking-based prizes.
