In case you missed it, Cursed Coliseum will feature a 66 new Level 2 cards this season. More moves, more possibilities. Check out a complete list of cards here.
The Gear Debut is Coming In January, we talked about bringing utility to Gear by Season 8. In February, it went LIVE during the off-season. Now it’s March, and the first regular season with Gear has begun! Anyone can now equip, upgrade, and craft Gear in Classic. There are two types of Gear that are vital in battles:
Note: Gear is not available for Cursed Coliseum sessions. Additionally, Axies cannot have a matching priority and type, as this would result in a Gear conflict. If an Axie has a Gear conflict, the entire team setup will revert to the last valid team setup—including Artifacts.

These 66 new cards will also feature an updated card-cursing system. Each cursed card gets two random cards into which it can transform, with both Level 1 and Level 2 versions available. That means 8 possible options for every 2 cursed cards during the cursed phase!
Note: by “curse,” we mean the magic kind of curse. We do not condone using Atia’s name in vain.

During the offseason, we shipped the Attack+ Buff Mechanic Change. In Season 8, we’re introducing a new buff — Regen! Attack+ Buff mechanic is now clearer and more balanced. It used to last for a set number of rounds but now it lasts for a specific number of turns, all starting from the next card used.
We also updated Cockadoodledoo to apply Attack+ to the entire team while removing Morale. Each Axie will now receive the Attack+ bonus for one turn. Players can even upgrade the buff to Attack++ (40% attack boost) for one turn by using another Cockadoodledoo. The Regen+ buff in Scarab Level 2 also heals 20% of max HP at the end of the round.
We heard your feedback and have decided to make some adjustments to improve the overall Guild Point experience. To make milestones feel more rewarding and to ensure the Guild Leaderboard remains truly competitive, we will remove GP earned from Guild Vault Support during the regular season.
We understand that this change may impact some Guilds. Consider that this can create a fairer and more engaging environment for everyone. Our goal is to encourage more strategic and meaningful participation while keeping the competition exciting.

The Golden Wheel is part of Classic’s ecosystem of rewards, and it used to dish out AXS and SLP. In Season 8, we’re re-allocating some of these rewards to Mini-Tournaments and SLP Chests! That means more rewards from victories in battle.
Mini-Tournament reward pool will revert to a 700 AXS daily cap once the regular season starts
SLP funding will now support SLP Chests.
5 Gems or 100 Dust will replace AXS/SLP slots
No more AXS/SLP slots in the Golden Wheel
These updates aim to create a more balanced and sustainable rewards system.

We’re excited about this feature, and have some tips below to help you make the most of it. Reputation is now visible in your UI — and it features four tiers, each with unique odds of winning rewards:
Reputation also plays a key role in balancing SLP Chest drops. That’s because higher tiers start with better odds, but frequent wins can temporarily lower your standing. If you collect too much SLP, you may shift from Honored back to Distinguished to ensure a fair and sustainable system.
Remember: every time you win an SLP Chest, your next chest drop rate slightly decreases.
How to increase Reputation:
Tier 1: Origin + 30 AXS (1 winner)
Tier 2: JP + 15 AXS (3 winners)
Tier 3: Nightmare + 7 AXS (5 winners)
Tier 4: Summer + 3 AXS (30 winners)
Tier 5: Floor + 1 AXS (300 winners)

Smooth. Love. Potion. It sounds good to say it — and it feels even better to win it. We brought SLP back to Classic, and in Season 8, you can now earn SLP chests in Mini Tournament battles. Want better drop rates? Remember this:
• Arena: Higher MMR = Better odds
• Cursed Coliseum: More wins = Higher drop chance
• Mini-Tournament: Higher tier and more wins = HIGHER drop chance
• Reputation: Your reputation also affects your SLP Chest chances
Rough Love Potion, or $RLP, is a community-created memecoin. This season, the Top 100 Classic players will earn part of a 8M $RLP reward pool in addition to other AXS and SLP rewards up for grabs!

Players can now log out or upgrade to Guardian Mode while in the Starter class selection flow.
Added gear level UI to the battle UI.
Fixed an issue where delegated Axies were not appearing in-game.
We’re temporarily closing the quest UI for adjustments, but we’ll be back soon with an even better experience!
Lunacians, we’re entering a new era. Last week, we shared a gameplay trailer for Atia’s Legacy — the new Axie MMO. Today, we’re kicking off the eighth season of the game that onboarded millions to our movement. Classic is entering a more stable chapter, making way for a journey seven years in the making. Let’s keep pushing.
